Connector ratings mean little without a cable figure beside them. This REMA DIN 160 set is specified at 160A with a matched cable of 35mm² or larger, 150V DC nominal, 2000V AC withstand tested, and rated from -20℃ to +105℃. Both halves are supplied, so the interface is replaced as a unit.

Why the Cable Figure Is Part of the Rating
A 160A connector on a 25mm² lead is a bottleneck: the cable heats before the contact does, and the connector gets blamed. Stating 35mm² or larger as part of the specification removes that ambiguity at the ordering stage rather than at commissioning.
The same logic applies to crimping: the terminal is sized for that cable range, and a crimp that does not match the section is the most common cause of a warm joint on a new installation.

2000V Withstand: What the Test Proves
A dielectric withstand test at 2000V AC confirms the insulation and creepage paths survive well beyond the working voltage. It is a design check rather than a routine production figure, and it is the reason the set can be used on packs well above its nominal 150V DC rating without insulation concerns.
In practice it means the weak point in the circuit should be the crimp or the cable, not the connector body.
Installing a Set as a Pair
Replace both halves together: the interface is what carries the current, and a new plug against a worn socket still runs warm. Cut square, crimp with the matched die, pull-test, then confirm the latch on both sides before the truck returns to service.
Stock sets ship in three to five working days; custom builds in five to seven days after payment; samples can be made to drawing.
Packing and What Arrives
The set ships as a male and a female connector, packed together with the lot reference on the carton. That lets a workshop confirm both halves came from the same production run, which is the point of buying a set rather than two parts.
