The same system is supplied in three configurations, and the difference is entirely in quantity: heads, pipe and tank scale with the pack. That makes the choice simple — find your voltage in the table, and the components are already matched.

Advantage One: Labour and Cost

A complete set is installed once and reused for the life of the battery. Against hand watering, the saving is the recurring labour — and against the alternative, it is the replacement cost avoided: a pack that is consistently watered correctly lasts longer than one that is watered when convenient.

Advantage Two: Level Control

A sensitive float valve in every plug shuts off when the electrolyte reaches the standard height. Every cell in the string therefore ends up at the same level, which is the condition a lead acid pack needs; manual filling produces a distribution rather than a level, with the last cells always slightly short.

Advantage Three: Sealing and Anti-Leak

The pipeline is fully sealed and matched to the T-piece and L-piece, so watering runs without leakage. A terraced step structure on the plug cools and recycles electrolyte gas, which reduces carry-over and the acid overflow that corrodes the surrounding hardware. The plastic is selected for rust and corrosion resistance so tightness holds over years rather than seasons.

Working Envelope

Working pressure 0.2–3.5 bar and temperature -20℃ to 90℃, which covers a cold store and a charging room in summer with the same kit. The refill valve is acid resistant, as the parts in contact with electrolyte have to be.

Applications

Warehouse forklifts, tractors and industrial lead acid batteries generally; the system is a maintenance accessory rather than a machine-specific part, so one kit design serves a mixed fleet.

Choosing a Configuration

Match the number of heads to the number of cells. The 24V kit carries 12, the 48V kit 24 and the 80V kit 40; if the pack differs from the nominal figure, count the cells and order by that number.

Why the Tank Sizes Differ

The 24V and 48V configurations carry a 20L tank, while the 80V configuration carries 50L. The reason is arithmetic, not marketing: a 40-cell string consumes roughly twice what a 24-cell string does, and a tank that runs dry mid-fill leaves the far cells short — the exact problem the kit exists to prevent. Where a site uses one tank across several packs, choose the size for the largest string.

The Terraced Step, Explained

Inside the plug, a stepped structure gives the electrolyte gas a path that turns and cools before it leaves. Cooled vapour drops back rather than carrying acid out with it, which is what keeps a battery top clean and stops the crust that forms around cheaper caps. It is a small piece of geometry with a large effect on how the hardware around the battery ages.

Fitting Notes

Replace the caps in sequence along the string, join with the T-pieces, fit the indicator at the inlet and close both ends before the first fill. Keep a little slack at every T: a run pulled tight between two heads will lift a plug out of its seat long before the system has finished filling.
