Reading the Two 50s
LAKER lists a 50mm cable and a 50mm² cable, and buyers sometimes treat them as the same item. The model codes differ — LK-Cable-50 and LK-Outcable-50 — so the ordering reference should be taken from the model number rather than from the figure alone. If a pack currently uses one and is being rebuilt with the other, the terminal and the routing should be checked first.
Installation Notes
Support the cable along its run rather than letting it hang from the lug. On an outlet cable, the strain relief at the cabinet entry decides how long the termination lasts: a lead that is pulled tight against a metal edge will fail at the lug before the copper is anywhere near its limit.
At service, compare lug temperatures across the pack after a charge. A single warm lug is a termination problem; several warm lugs on the same lead point at the section or the load.

Repair or Replace
A cable is worth repairing only while the copper and the jacket are sound. Once the jacket has hardened at the lug, moisture reaches the strands and the corrosion continues under the insulation where it cannot be seen. At that point a new lead is cheaper than the diagnosis that follows a warm joint.
The test is simple: bend the cable at the point where it leaves the lug. If the jacket has lost its flexibility, replace the lead; if it still moves freely and the lug is clean, re-terminate and continue.
Packing and Delivery
Leads are packed to protect the lugs in transit, since a bent lug is a rejected part on arrival. Sets for a pack rebuild are packed together so the measurements stay associated with the positions they were taken from. Delivery follows the customization: centre length is produced to order, so the specification is confirmed before production begins, with online technical support available while the order is being prepared.
Ordering Checklist
Confirm four points before production: the model code, the section, the centre length and the terminal type. Getting those four right removes almost every reason a lead has to be remade, and they are the same four points the workshop will check when the box is opened.
