FROTEK LK-Cable Series: Customized Section, Customized Centre Distance
FROTEK · LK-Cable series 25 / 35 / 50 / 70mm² · copper conductor, black rubber jacket, CE certified · perfect type or flexible type · section and centre distance made to your pack
Model note: every model code in this series states the conductor cross section in square millimetres (LK-Cable-25 = 25mm², LK-Cable-50 = 50mm²), never a length and never a diameter. This listing is the general series page: you specify the section and the centre distance, and you choose the perfect type or the flexible type build.

One Series, Two Builds
Perfect type keeps the strands compact under the lug, so the crimp closes on copper rather than on air; it suits fixed routes where the lead is measured once and stays in place. Flexible type uses a higher strand count so the lead can follow a tight path between cells without loading the terminal. Both builds share the same copper conductor, rubber jacket and CE marking, so a workshop can mix them inside one pack without changing its crimping routine.
How the Section Is Chosen
The section follows the current, not the terminal size. Short inter-cell links on a light pack normally run 25mm²; 35mm² covers heavier-duty lead-acid packs that do not carry a full traction load; 50mm² suits packs charged daily and worked between charges; 70mm² is reserved for the main leads of large traction packs and charger runs, where the copper — not the termination — has to carry the current.
A larger section carries more current with less temperature rise, and resistance falls as the copper grows, which is why the same family is quoted from 25mm² to 70mm² rather than in a single size.
Measuring the Centre Distance
The centre distance is taken between the centres of the two terminals, with the pack assembled and the lead routed as it will sit in service. Measuring a cable flat on a bench gives a shorter figure than the same cable installed around a corner, and that is the most common reason a replacement arrives short. On a rebuild, measure before the old links come out and note which position each lead came from.
Ordering Sequence
- State the section for each position: 25, 35, 50 or 70mm².
- State the centre distance measured on the pack for each lead.
- Choose the build: perfect type for fixed routes, flexible type for tight routes.
- Confirm the terminal bolt size, then approve the drawing before production.
Supply and Support
Leads are made to order, so the section, the centre distance and the build are confirmed before production starts. Cables are inspected in house before dispatch, technical questions are answered online while the order is prepared, and after-market support continues after delivery.
Questions
Can the section be customized? Yes — 25mm², 35mm², 50mm² and 70mm² are all produced from the same construction, and mixed sections can ship in one order.
Is the centre distance fixed? No, it is cut to the measurement taken on your pack.
Perfect type or flexible type? Both are available from this series; tell us the route and we confirm which build suits the position.
Can one order mix sections and lengths? Yes, each lead is made individually, so a pack rebuild can combine sizes and distances.
Certification? CE.
