A certified watering kit is bought for two reasons: the battery is expensive enough that a maintenance part should not introduce risk, and the site has a paperwork requirement that a maintenance item usually escapes. The AWS-12 answers both without changing how the system works.
What the Kit Consists Of
Watering plugs, T-pieces, a flow indicator with an integral filter, composite connectors, plastic pipe in 6mm and 10mm, end plugs, K10 male and female couplings, and the 30L tank. The plugs carry a float valve and a level lens; the T-piece rotates so the pipe can follow the tray.

How the Watering Stops Itself
The float in each plug rises with the electrolyte. As the level climbs, pressure closes the valve and that cell stops accepting water; the string keeps filling until every valve is shut. The flow indicator then stops moving, which is the signal that the pack is done. No timer, no dipstick, no judgement.
The top of each head has a lens: the level can be read without opening anything. Tilting the top cover also exposes the electrolyte for a temperature check, which is what a commissioning engineer needs when a pack is new.
Leak Tightness
Joints are push-fit with their own seals, the pipe run is closed at both ends, and the couplings are a designed connection rather than a push-on. In long service the leak tightness of this system has been demonstrated rather than claimed — a seeping joint declares itself within a week of filling.
Fitting Notes
Install with the lens visible and the head upright. Route the 10mm pipe along the tray edge, keep slack at each T-piece, and confirm each plug is seated fully before the first fill — a partly seated plug is the one way to get water where it should not be.
Sizing
Twelve heads for a twelve-cell 24V pack. If the count differs, the kit is supplied by head count rather than by voltage, and the tank follows the string length: 30L for 12, 18 and 24-cell strings, 60L from 36 cells up.
What Certification Does and Does Not Cover
CE marking is a declaration that the product meets the applicable European requirements; it is not a statement that the kit fits every battery. Fit is still decided by the cap pattern and the cell count, which is why the order is built to your pack rather than picked from stock.
What the marking does give a buyer is a trail. A maintenance part that appears in an audit with a declaration behind it is one less item to explain, and it means the supplier has accepted responsibility for the claim in writing.
