Thirty-Six Cells Is Where Hand Watering Stops Working

A 72V pack is a maintenance problem before it is a watering problem. Thirty-six cells sit in one string, each loses water at a slightly different rate, and the ones at the warm end — next to the charger, near the controller — lose it fastest. Watering that string properly by hand takes half an hour, and the half hour is exactly what disappears on a busy shift.
AWS-36 is the 72V member of the range: thirty-six float heads, 7m of 6mm line, a 50L tank.
Why the Long String Is Different
Three things change with length. The run is longer, so the 6mm line is 7m rather than 4m and the routing has to follow the tray rather than cross it. The fill takes longer, so the tank has to be big enough to finish the pack in one connection — hence 50L. And the cells at the far end see the lowest pressure in the system, which is why the line is fed through a single 10mm supply and a closed run rather than tapped at several points.

The Cost of One Dry Cell
A single low cell sets the capacity of the whole string. On a 72V truck that shows up as a machine that used to finish a shift and now does not, followed by a cell replacement that costs more than the watering system. The cells that dry out are almost always the ones that are hard to reach, which is the same set that hand watering skips when time is short.
Float heads remove the choice: every valve closes at the same level, including the cells at the back that nobody can see.
Fitting Notes for a Long Pack
Work from the tank end so the last head fitted is the one furthest away, and leave slack at each turn rather than pulling the line tight — a tight run lifts heads out of their seats when the cover is closed. Keep the flow indicator on the supply side and visible. On trucks with a roller battery bed, leave enough slack at the coupling end for the bed to travel.
Questions
Is 50L enough for one pack? Yes, with margin; a 36-cell pack does not need a refill mid-fill with this tank.
Can one tank serve two 72V trucks? Yes, though for back-to-back fills a second tank is more practical.
Does a 36-cell pack need higher pressure? No. Gravity from a raised tank is sufficient; the closed run distributes it.
