Efficiency, Measured Properly
A 24-cell 48V pack takes roughly the same amount of water either way. What changes is how much of that water reaches the right cells and how much work surrounds it: finding a jug, finding the torch, putting on gloves and goggles, then drying caps and tray afterwards. The material saving is not the water — it is the labour around the water, and the acid that does not end up on the tray.
There is also a maintenance-effect saving that never appears in a quote: cells kept at a consistent level and concentration age more slowly than cells that are alternately dry and overfilled. On a pack that costs more than the system, that is the real return.
Questions
How often does it need filling? Weekly in normal use; the tank is 20L and one connection covers a 24-cell pack.
Does it work on 8V or 12V monoblocs? Yes — the heads fit the cap pattern, and twenty-four cells are twenty-four cells whatever the monobloc voltage.
What if a head is damaged? Heads are supplied individually and are common to all models in the range.
