A 48V pack is usually the point where hand watering stops being reasonable. Twenty-four cells is enough that the task takes long enough to be postponed, and a postponed watering is what shortens plate life. The AWS-24 turns it into a single connection: the tank goes on, the flow runs, the indicator stops, and the pack is level.
Components
The kit is built from watering plugs, T-pieces, a flow indicator with an integral filter, composite connectors, 6mm and 10mm plastic pipe, end plugs, a K10 coupling and the tank. The T-piece rotates, which matters when the pipe run has to pass around cell interlinks rather than across an open tray.

What the Indicator Tells You
While water is moving, the flow indicator shows it. When the last cell closes, the movement stops — that is the signal to disconnect. A slow trickle that never stops is a leaking joint or a valve held open by grit, which is why the indicator carries a filter and why the pipe is capped at both ends rather than left open.
Fitting Notes
Fit the plugs with the head upright and the lens visible; nothing is gained by hiding the only level check the system has. Route the 10mm run along the tray edge rather than across the tops of the cells, and leave a little slack at each T-piece so the pipe is not under tension when the pack moves.
Sizing
The kit number follows the cell count. A 48V lead acid pack is commonly 24 cells, which is what the AWS-24 provides; where the pack uses a different number, the head count is what decides the kit and the tank follows the string length.
A Note on Cell Count
Voltage and cell count are related but not interchangeable: a 48V lead acid pack is usually 24 cells, but the number is set by the battery, not by the nominal voltage. The kit is ordered by heads, so the count from the battery label or a physical count is what should be sent. Where a pack differs, the same components are supplied in a different quantity and the pipe length follows.
Keeping to that rule avoids the most common mistake in this product family: a kit that is two heads short, discovered at the point of fitting, with the pack half converted.
