AWS-18 for 36V Forklift Packs: Eighteen Cells, One Connection

The 36V 18-cell pack is the classic three-tonne electric truck battery, and it is also the pack most often watered badly. Eighteen caps sit across a tray that is partly under the counterweight; the four at the back are reached by feel, and the ones nobody can see are the ones that dry out first.
AWS-18 replaces all eighteen with float valves fed from one line. Connect the tank, open the coupling, wait for the indicator to stop, disconnect. No caps come off, no cell is judged by eye.

Where the Time Actually Goes
On a 36V truck the compartment is low and tight, and the run from the tank to the far cells is awkward rather than long. That is why the 4m of 6mm line matters more than the tank: the pipe has to follow the tray, turn at the corners and clear the cover. The rotating heads and the T-piece are there to make those turns without kinking.
The second cost is the one nobody books: a pack watered late. Cells lose water at slightly different rates, the warm end of the string loses it fastest, and a single low cell sets the capacity of the whole pack. A float valve in every head closes that gap — including in the four cells at the back that nobody can reach comfortably.
Fitting Notes
Fit the heads before the battery goes back into the truck if the order of work is still open; access is the entire difficulty and it is free at that point. Keep the original vent caps — they are the reference if another truck with an unknown cap pattern arrives later. Leave the flow indicator visible with the cover closed, and put the coupling where a hose reaches it without moving the machine.
Water and Service
Distilled or deionised only. The floats control the level, not the chemistry: minerals in tap water stay in the cells and accumulate over a season. Service is the indicator element and an occasional check of the joints — both cheap, both common across the range.
Other 18-Cell Packs
The same set fits any eighteen-cell flooded lead-acid pack with a matching cap pattern, including the older 36V golf car banks built from six 6V batteries and 36V sweepers or utility vehicles. The truck is the main use; the kit does not care what the pack is bolted into.
Questions
Will it fit my 36V truck? If the pack is eighteen cells and the caps match ours, yes. The cap pattern is the only real variable — send one photo.
Can one tank serve two trucks? Yes; the K10 coupling is made to be disconnected and reconnected.
Does it fit a 48V truck? No — that is 24 cells and needs AWS-24. The fittings are the same.
Can I add heads later? Yes, heads and pipe are supplied individually.
